Results Citizen Survey

We believe it is important to know how residents view livability and safety in the neighborhood in which they live. That is why we conduct a citizens' survey every two years in cooperation with the other Parkstad municipalities. The municipality of Kerkrade also conducted this survey in 2024, and over 1,350 residents completed the survey.

The citizen survey measures residents' satisfaction with the themes of livability, safety and well-being. Residents were asked how they rate their living environment, how satisfied they are with the neighborhood facilities and where they experience the most nuisance. In addition, the survey also reveals how many people sometimes feel unsafe in the neighborhood, and whether they sometimes feel lonely. 

The results are an important source of information for the municipality, showing which topics the municipality of Kerkrade scores positively on, but also which topics require more attention. The next citizens' survey is scheduled for the end of 2025, to continue monitoring developments in livability and safety.
