Rolduckerveld in the starting blocks

The Rolduckerveld neighborhood will be made ready for the future in the coming years. Houses will be demolished, the church will disappear and the public space will be renewed. There will also be new homes that meet all the requirements of our time.

Alderman Tim Weijers (Housing/Rural Planning): "The neighborhood has issues such as insecurity, poverty and loneliness. Some of the housing is also outdated. Livability has declined significantly. Therefore, the residents can use a big support. Together with the residents we want to turn Rolduckerveld back into a neighborhood where people want to live, because it is safe, people look after each other and the environment is pleasant."

On Wednesday, July 13, there was an information fair for local residents and children could participate in a variety of activities.

Demolition of flats Hertogenlaan

Work on the project has been going on behind the scenes since 2019. The surrounding area will soon also be able to see that we are working: the first apartment on Hertogenlaan is being demolished. In recent weeks, asbestos has been removed from the building and it has been stripped inside. The major demolition will begin on August 8. Following this, work will also begin on the 2nd flat on Hertogenlaan. This will also be demolished. This work will be completed before the end of the year.
