Over €3.4 million extra for housing quality and livability in Kerkrade neighborhoods

Kerkrade is getting an extra boost with a contribution of over €3.4 million from the Public Housing Fund. This money is specifically intended to improve housing quality and livability in the Bleijerheide and Spekholzerheide-Centrum neighborhoods.

Alderman Alexander Geers (Housing): "We can use this contribution to invest in housing quality, livability and safety. In this way, the State is also making an important contribution to the Kerkrade Housing Offensive, in which quality of housing and improving livability are the guiding principles. It is good to see that our joint lobby from Parkstad has once again produced a nice contribution. Previous contributions from the Public Housing Fund and the Regio Deal have already led to the tackling of numerous homes in Kerkrade. This is how we are building together a city full of opportunities with future prospects for everyone."
