Talk days for border commuters
Are you interested in working, living or studying across the border?
The GrensInfoPunten are located along the border between the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Here they provide tailored advice on living, working or studying in a neighboring country. This advice is independent, objective and personal. Regional peculiarities are taken into account. Moreover, the services are free of charge.
The GrensInfoPunten provide individual advice to employees, employers, job seekers, trainees, students and pensioners. They do this in various offices along the Dutch, German and Belgian borders. They cooperate with agencies from these three countries and organize special consultation hours for people working across the border. They also help with legal problems of border commuters and think about solutions.
The staff of the Border Information Points collaborate a lot, but the Border Information Points are independent.
During the consultation days, you can ask questions about working in the neighboring country, whether as an employee or self-employed, living in the neighboring country, and studying in the neighboring country.
They also inform you if:
- you as an entrepreneur want to hire personnel from the neighboring country;
- you become unemployed as a frontier worker;
- you receive benefits or retire and have worked in the neighboring country.
The next meetings are:
- June 5 German-Dutch Speaking Day in Kerkrade
- June 18 German-Dutch Speaking Day for entrepreneurs and self-employed in Kerkrade
