SME Innovation Stimulation Top Sectors Subsidy Scheme Southern Netherlands.
The SME Innovation Stimulation Top Sectors South-Netherlands (MITZuid) subsidy scheme was developed specifically to stimulate innovation among entrepreneurs from Limburg, North Brabant and Zeeland.
Are you looking for funding for an innovative idea or product? If so, the MITZuid grant program may be for you.
It targets companies in one of the following sectors:
- Logistics
- Agri & Food
- Chemistry & Energy (including Biobased Economy)
- High Tech Systems & Materials (HTSM) and ICT
- Life Sciences & Health
- Horticulture & Starting Materials
MITZuid is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the provinces of Limburg, North Brabant and Zeeland. Program management is carried out by Stimulus.
MIT South 2018 has two financial (grant) instruments to stimulate the early stages of innovation: Feasibility and R&D Collaboration.
The window for MIT-South Feasibility opens on April 17, 2018. Review is on afirst come, first servebasis.
Applications for an MIT South R&D collaboration are evaluated on a tender basis: projects are ranked according to quality.
The R&D collaboration counter opens July 2 and closes Sept. 6.
LIOF has an advisory and guiding role for submissions from the province of Limburg.
Jorg van der Meij, business developer at LIOF: "LIOF can use its knowledge to help entrepreneurs and intermediaries during the start-up process. We can provide them with advice and support in making a strong submission."
And these efforts are paying off. Lisette Tilmans, business developer: "In Limburg, MIT-Zuid awarded a total of €580,000 to 23 feasibility projects and 3 innovation advisory projects in 2017."
