Expansion of Camera Surveillance on Rodaboulevard

Camera surveillance on the Roda Boulevard has been expanded. Cameras have been deployed on the boulevard since 2022, and now the number has been expanded to further ensure security in the area.
The cameras were immediately put into use by enforcement and police.

Mayor Dassen explains: With the expansion of camera surveillance on the Rodaboulevard, we want to strengthen surveillance on this busy spot in our city. We are working hard to create a safe and livable environment, and these extra eyes in the public space will help us do that."

Alderman Alexander Geers also underlines the importance of this measure: "The business park around the Rodaboulevard is an important economic hub for the region. With the camera surveillance we not only strengthen security for visitors, but also for the entrepreneurs who are active here every day. This contributes to a pleasant and safe working environment."

The new cameras have been placed at busy locations and intersections on the boulevard, such as Wiebachstraat near Voncken Bakery, near Decathlon on the side of Wiebachstraat and P7/Roda JC Ring, near Hornbach on the side of P5/Roda JC Ring, near Dadawan, and at the traffic circle of Roda JC Ring and Euregioweg.
