Extract of personal data BRP

What is it?
In the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) contains details of everyone who lives or has lived in the Netherlands. You can request an extract of this personal data from the municipality where you are registered. The extract contains at least your:
- name
- address
- residence
- date of birth
Do you need an extract for the housing association and want an extract of your household composition? Then order the extract "household composition". Please note. Indicate what you need the extract for. Then the official will know what information should be on your extract. You can request an extract of personal data BRP for:
- yourself
- your child living with you who is under 16 years of age
- someone you have authorized
Authorize someone else
When someone else makes the application to the municipality for you, give them a letter that includes:
- the reason why you need the extract
- the name of the authorized representative
- your signature
- the signature of the authorized person
Extract of Non-Residents Registration (RNI)
If you live abroad or are no longer registered with a Dutch municipality, your personal data are in the Non-Residents Registration (RNI).
You can request an extract from this at one of the RNI counter municipalities. If you need an extract for a foreign organization, you can get it in several languages.
What does it cost?
The fee for a counter application is €15.50
The fee for an online application is €12.50
What should I bring?
When applying online, you will need:
- your DigiD
- internet banking data
For a personal application, you will need:
- valid identity card
- debit card or cash
When applying in writing, you will need:
- copy of your valid ID
- letter stating why you need the extract
- your signature on the letter
Authorize someone else
The authorized representative takes your authorization letter to the municipality with:
- A copy of your valid ID;
- his or her own ID.
How long does it take?
- If you apply for the extract in person at the municipality, you will receive it immediately. This also applies if you authorize someone to do so.
- If you request the extract online or in writing, the municipality will send it to you by mail.
Your extract requested online will then be sent to you within 2 business days.
