Vacations in your own neighborhood: 'My Camping West'
From July 12 to 14, part of Park West was transformed into a cozy camping area. The residents of Kerkrade-West celebrated vacations in their own neighborhood again this year. For three days everything revolved around connection and being together.
District Councilman John Roland, along with neighborhood and campground residents, opened the event on Friday, July 12, at noon. He emphasized, "'My Camping West' brings our community together in a unique way. After last year's success, we look forward to even more inspiring encounters and strengthened connections within our beloved neighborhood."
At "My Camping West," the focus was on meeting. Residents came together, got to know each other and gained new ideas. These encounters led to good examples, self-confidence, a sense of home in the neighborhood, collaborations, friendships and relationships. All these new connections strengthen the neighborhood.
There were various activities for young and old, with fantastic prizes awarded. Everyone enjoyed live music and ate and drank together.
