City Council meetings
Kerkrade City Council normally meets on the last Wednesday of every month, with the exception of the summer vacations. Then the town council meets only if there is an urgent reason to meet. Deviations from this are possible. When this is the case, it is mentioned on the website and if possible also published in the Town Journal.
You can view footage of the council and committee meetings of the City of Kerkrade both live and in retrospect via the City Council website.
As a rule, the council meets according to a meeting schedule, which is already established before the start of the new year. You can consult this meeting schedule in the documents at the bottom of this page.
The council meeting is presided over by Mayor Dassen-Housen. The chairman sees to it that the meeting proceeds in an orderly manner and according to the rules. The council itself has adopted rules of procedure for council meetings for this purpose. You can consult these rules of procedure in the documents at the bottom of this page.
Council meetings normally begin at 7 p.m. and are held in the council chamber in the Town HallMarkt 1 in Kerkrade).
