Elections, voting in another municipality
Life, travel & papers >> Electing to municipal, provincial, Dutch or European parliament
What is it?
Do you vote in a municipality other than where you live? If so, you need a voter ID card.
In which other municipality can I vote with a voter ID card?
It depends on the election:
- Provincial elections: in a municipality in the same province.
- Water board elections: in a municipality in the same water board.
- House of Representatives elections, European elections or other referendums: in every Dutch municipality.
Note: You cannot apply for a voter ID card in municipal elections.
