Elections, voting pass
What is it?
At the elections, you may only vote with a voting pass. You will receive this at least 14 days before the elections. You can vote in one of the polling stations within the municipality. When voting you must be able to identify yourself. Without voting pass and ID you may not vote.

Your voting card allows you to vote only in the municipality where you are registered. Do you want to vote in another municipality? Have your voting pass converted into a voter ID card first.
Can't go to vote yourself? Then you can authorize someone else to do so.
You will receive a voting pass for the House of Representatives elections if:
- you are Dutch
- You are registered in the basic registration of personsBRP)
- You are 18 years of age or older on the day of the election
- You are not excluded from the right to vote
What should I bring?
To vote, take with you to the polling station:
- your polling card
- your proof of identity (e.g. passport, identity card or driver's license)
Your ID must have been expired for a maximum of 5 years.
Did you not receive a voting pass? Or have you lost your voting pass? You can pick up a new voting pass in person or request it in writing from the municipality. You can apply in writing up to 5 days before the elections. You can apply in person up to 1 day before the elections until noon. Bring your proof of identity with you.
Do you no longer have proof of identity? Then request a written proxy from the municipality. Then someone else can vote for you.
