Extension of application deadline for one-time gift National Disaster Relief Fund

About 2,000 applications for a solidarity gift of €1,000 from the National Disaster Relief Fund (NRF) have been submitted to the municipalities through August 16, 2021. 

Because of the vacation season, and especially because of the impact and consequences of the flood, it has been decided to extend the opportunity to apply. This means that from Friday, August 20, until September 1, 2021, there is again the possibility for severely affected people to apply for a one-time donation through the municipalities' website.

Support for projects of associations, foundations and other civil society organizations

In the meantime, the NRF also receives applications for financing restoration projects from associations, foundations and (other) civil society organizations. These applications are considered weekly by the NRF's Evaluation Committee, headed by Chairman Tof Thissen. The NRF realizes that submitting a project application requires a lot of preparation. These project applications can be submitted until Oct. 1, 2021. The National Disaster Relief Fund website has posted the form to apply for financial support for small-scale projects. The prerequisites for award can also be found on the website.
