Removal orders and area bans
The municipality of Kerkrade can take measures against people who commit criminal offenses or disturb public order. Police officers and special investigating officers (BOAs) who work for the municipality are authorized to issue removal orders or area bans on behalf of the mayor.
A removal order means that you must leave an area immediately.
A restraining order means that you are not allowed to enter that area for a certain period of time.
These measures are in place to protect the peace, safety, health, and living environment in our municipality.
