Former convent 'White Sisters' becomes refugee reception site
Starting Thursday, June 9, the former convent "White Sisters" at 20 Main Street will become a reception site for Ukrainian refugees.
A total of 15 refugees will be housed here
This group, consisting of women and children, had to be accommodated urgently. Therefore, the former convent was prepared with great speed.
Spaces have been refurbished
The owner of the monastery offered the location selflessly before. The possibilities for the shelter were then investigated. This revealed that work was first needed to make the rooms safe and habitable. This work has since been completed.
