Volunteers at the Ennúh Rolduckerveld Meeting Place receive Star Team statuette

On Thursday, December 11, volunteers from the Ennúh Rolduckerveld community center were honored. During a festive gathering, Alderman Schlangen presented them with the Star Team statuette, an annual municipal award given in recognition of National Volunteer Day.

A warm heart for the neighborhood
The Ennúh Rolduckerveld community center plays a central role in the social life of the neighborhood. It is a place where local residents can meet, participate in activities, receive support, and connect with others. Volunteers are the driving force behind this center.

In his speech, Alderman emphasized how essential their efforts are:
"You are the driving force behind Ontmoetingswinkel Ennúh. The beating heart of this place. A place where people are seen, where connections are made, and where everyone can feel welcome. Thanks to your warmth, commitment, and perseverance, this meeting place continues to grow and remain meaningful for the entire neighborhood."

The volunteers take on a variety of tasks every day. They welcome visitors with a smile, lend a listening ear, and create a homely atmosphere. They also contribute to practical initiatives, such as the second-hand clothing store and various neighborhood projects and activities.

The ceremony concluded with well-deserved applause for all the volunteers. Their indispensable efforts ensure that Ontmoetingswinkel Ennúh Rolduckerveld remains a vibrant, close-knit, and welcoming place for young and old alike.
