We are Flexiforum - Vakschool Installatietechniek Bouw Zuid Limburg & Rensen Regeltechniek

In the coming weeks, we will introduce you to some of Flexiforum's tenants. They talk about their experiences with this striking building and how they are building a new community together. This time to speak: Jos Leuven of Vakschool Installatietechniek Bouw Zuid Limburg and Guido Sieler and Antoine Dammers of Rensen Regeltechniek.

Vakschool Installatietechniek Bouw Zuid Limburg

Among other things, Flexiforum houses the Vakschool Installatietechniek Foundation. Jos Leuven, a volunteer on the board, is happy to explain what the Vakschool does. "The Vakschool supervises 16 students coming from the region. We do this in cooperation with Vista College, in our vocational school in the Flexiforum. We mentor mostly students who, for whatever reason, have dropped out of regular education. We offer these students a new opportunity by combining work and learning. They work 4 days in practice and spend 1 day at school to brush up on theoretical knowledge. A number of students have now graduated and gone on to regular work, that's what we do it for, fantastic!".

Rensen Control Engineering

Rensen Regeltechniek is also housed in the Flexiforum. Guido Sieler explains what they do: "We provide control engineering for many customers. Control engineering is a very broad field, where you take care of controlling for example the central heating, air conditioning and air conditioning, lighting, etc. It is a field that is developing rapidly. New techniques follow each other rapidly, control via apps and the cloud is becoming increasingly important. This calls for a new generation of installers who also have a feel for IT. But of course they must also be able to install a PVC pipe."

Collaboration?

Guido Sieler explains how the company and the Trade School came into contact within Flexiforum. "You just bump into each other within Flexiforum. It's a community where the tenants also look for each other more and more. I clearly remember running into a teacher from the Vakschool in the atrium of the Flexiforum. While talking we quickly concluded that the link between the Trade School and Rensen is easy to make. After all, control technology and installation technology that fits together. Cooperation is then very natural."

Inspire students

 "Guido and I have been in the business for over twenty years, but it never gets boring. Control technology is constantly evolving. And there too we see the connection with the Trade School. It is precisely these new developments that we can share with the students who are being trained as installers. We would like to inspire the students by taking them along in the innovations in their field."

Flexiforum: strengthening through connection

Both Jos and Guido and Antoine experience the Flexiforum as a place where connection leads to strengthening. According to Jos, the modern and attractive building is "bubbling with everything. "It would of course be great to take a group of students, in addition to a bit of theory, especially into the building and pull open a control cabinet left and right in a technical room to let them mainly get to work themselves," Guido adds.

On one thing the gentlemen agree wholeheartedly. There is certainly no shortage of concrete ideas to further shape the cooperation. Jos, Antoine and Guido are convinced that the Flexiforum supports this cooperation perfectly.
