Staying independent and secure with the free In Balance course
Even as you get older, you want to be able to continue doing everyday things independently. This is precisely why it is important that you feel safe and secure with your body.
With the fall prevention program In Balance, you can improve your muscle strength and balance. This will reduce your chances of falling.
Group training of 14 weeks
In Balans is a group training program, offered by the municipality of Kerkrade, Vie and MeanderGroep, for seniors aged 65+ living at home in Kerkrade.
The free training lasts 14 weeks and consists of an information session, three course meetings and two training sessions per week for 10 weeks.
Course meetings focus on helpful exercises, tests and information about movement and balance. During the training weeks, you will perform practical exercises at your own level. In addition, you will work at home with the tips and a course book

- Wednesday, Nov. 29 (2:00-15:30 p.m.) - Meander in Balans, Ailbertuslaan 2 in Kerkrade
- Thursday, Nov. 30 (3:00-4:30 p.m.) - Hambos, Kapellaan 2 in Kerkrade
- Wednesday, Dec. 6 (2:00-15:30 p.m.) - Firenschat, Schaesbergerstraat 25 in Kerkrade
- Friday, December 8 (11:00-12:30 a.m.) - Meander in Balans, Ailbertuslaan 2 in Kerkrade
