How does it work?
The municipality determines whether to grant you permission. It pays attention to the following:
- Is normal use of the road possible?
- Is the safety of pedestrians and other traffic at risk?
- Is there any inconvenience to nearby residents?
- Is the streetscape being marred?
Notice! The municipality may refuse commercial advertising on signs.
What to do.
You apply for permission from the municipality. In your application, provide the following information:
- why you want to place the notice board
- In which place you want to place the announcement board
- When and for how long you will place the notice board
- how big the announcement board is
- a drawing or photograph of the announcement board

Within 8 weeks, you will hear whether you are granted permission.
What is it?
You may not simply place an announcement sign on or on the public highway. For example, to announce an event or announce thoughts or feelings. Do you want to place an announcement board? Ask permission from the municipality.
Additional information
The municipality may require that your announcement sign allow wind and/or air to pass through. Further note the following:
- Health make sure you secure the announcement board properly.
- Health ensure that you do not cause damage to trees, walls or lampposts.
- Health make sure the announcement sign can withstand the weather.
