Asphalt Maintenance on Lindenlaan and Haanraderweg
From Monday, October 19, through Friday, October 30, 2026, we will be performing major pavement maintenance on Lindenlaan. This work will be carried out in conjunction with work on Haanraderweg. By carrying out both projects at the same time, we will minimize disruption as much as possible. In November, weather permitting, we will apply another coat of pavement to the bike lane.

What are we going to do?
During the project, we will perform the following tasks, among others:
- Modifying manhole covers;
- Milling the existing asphalt;
- Repairing sections of asphalt;
- Adjusting center dividers;
- Laying a new layer of asphalt;
- Applying road markings.

- Monday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 20 | Manhole covers on Lindenlaan
- Wednesday, October 21 | Asphalt milling on Lindenlaan
- Thursday, October 22 | Milling repair sections on Lindenlaan
- Friday, October 23 | Modifications to the median at the Lindenlaan-Platanenstraat intersection (an elongated traffic island in the middle of the roadway that separates opposing traffic flows)
- Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25| No work scheduled
Week 44
- Monday, October 26 | Continued work on adjusting the median dividers at the Lindenlaan-Platanenstraat intersection
- Tuesday, October 27 | Laying the asphalt base course on Haanraderweg between Meuserstraat and Meinweidestraat. And installing repair patches, manhole covers, and median barriers on Lindenlaan.
- Wednesday, October 28| Application of asphalt surface course and road markings on Haanraderweg. First from Meuserstraat to Meinweidestraat, then from Meinweidestraat to Jan Steenstraat.
- Thursday, October 29| Application of the asphalt surface course and road markings on Haanraderweg and Lindenlaan, from Jan Steenstraat to Sint Pieterstraat.
- Friday, October 30 | Installation of manhole covers on Haanraderweg and Lindenlaan
Traffic Measures and Accessibility
Below you will find a day-by-day overview of the traffic measures in effect and how access is being managed. These measures are based on the work schedule and may therefore vary from day to day. Monday, October 19 through Sunday, October 25
- Lindenlaan is closed to through traffic.
- Residents can access Lindenlaan via the side streets. Please note: From Monday, October 19, through Thursday, October 22, access is only permitted between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- Haanrade remains accessible via the detour route Haanraderstraat–Meuserstraat and via the side streets off Haanraderweg. The section of Meuserstraat between Meuserstraat and Meinweidestraat in the direction of Chevremont remains closed.
Monday, October 26
- Lindenlaan is completely closed to through traffic.
- Residents can reach Lindenlaan via the side streets.
- Haanrade remains accessible via the detour route Haanraderstraat–Meuserstraat and via the side streets off Haanraderweg. The section of Meuserstraat between Meuserstraat and Meinweidestraat in the direction of Chevremont remains closed.
Tuesday, October 27
- Haanrade can be reached via a short detour: Meinweidestraat – Frans Halsstraat – Beukenbosweg.
- Lindenlaan is completely closed, but residents can still access it via side streets off Lindenlaan.
Wednesday, October 28
- Lindenlaan is completely closed. Residents can access Lindenlaan via the side streets.
- From 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Haanrade can be reached via the detour along Meinweidestraat – Frans Halsstraat – Beukenbosweg.
- Starting at 12:00 p.m., the detour via Haanraderstraat and Meuserstraat will be in effect.
Thursday, October 29
- Lindenlaan is completely closed.
- Haanrade can be reached via the detour route Haanraderstraat - Meuserstraat.
Friday, October 30
- Lindenlaan is closed until 4:00 p.m.
- Until 4:00 p.m., Haanrade will be accessible via the detour route Haanraderstraat - Meuserstraat.
- Starting at 4:00 p.m., Lindenlaan and Haanraderweg will be accessible again.
