You can also establish a private cemetery for one or more graves on your own property. You will need permission from the municipality to do so.

A special cemetery can be created by:

  • a church
  • a foundation or association
  • a private person

What to do.

You must request permission from the municipality in which you wish to establish the special cemetery.

How long does it take?

The municipality will make a decision within 8 weeks of receiving your application. This period may be extended once.
