Leaf Collectors
What is it?
In autumn, leaves on the street cause inconvenience. The municipality places leaf baskets in which you can collect the leaves. These leaf boxes are emptied regularly by the municipality. The leaves go with the other GFT waste to the compost plant.
How does it work?
The leaf baskets are placed in central locations in neighborhoods where municipal trees are a major nuisance. This means that there is not a leaf basket in every street.
Do not put other (garden) waste in the leaf boxes. This causes problems when clearing up the leaf litter. Other waste should be put in the bins or taken to the recycling center. The leaf boxes should only contain leaves. Do not put branches, pruning waste or other greenery in it.
Is there other waste in the leaf basket anyway? Then the municipality will remove the leaf basket.
What to do.
If a leaf basket is full, report it to the municipality. You can also file a report if a leaf basket has been vandalized.
