Mayor, aldermen and city clerk

The current municipal executive consists of Mayor Petra Dassen-Housen and five aldermen. Together, they form a strong team committed to a vibrant and dynamic Kerkrade. 

Each Alderman has his or her own portfolio and is responsible for certain issues. The City Council appoints the aldermen. 

The college works as a team and makes decisions together. The town clerk is the general manager of the civil service organization and supports the college. He is appointed by the college.
