Caravan parking on public roads
What is it?
If you want to park your caravan, camper van, motorhome, trailer or folding trailer on public roads, it is usually only allowed for 3 days.
If you want to park longer, request a waiver from the municipality.
How does it work?
You will receive the waiver under the following Requirements:
- You don't take up too much parking space.
- The streetscape won't get any worse.
- The municipality will designate a parking spot for you.
- It poses no inconvenience or danger to road users and those living nearby.
What to do?
You request the waiver from the municipality. Please provide the following information with your application:
- Your name and address.
- The period you want to park.
- Why you want to park your caravan, camper, motorhome, trailer or folding trailer on public roads.
- A description or picture of your vehicle.
How long does it take?
You will be notified within 8 weeks whether you will receive the waiver.
Objecting
Do you disagree with the municipality's decision? Then you can object within 6 weeks.
