Gold Medal of Honor for Jo Schlangen

During Entrepreneurs’ Day on Thursday, July 16, Mayor Petra Dassen-Housen presented the Kerkrade Gold Medal of Honor to Jo Schlangen.

Jo Schlangen has been dedicated to serving the municipality for many years. He is still active as a council member and also served as “ Alderman ” for twelve years.

As “ Alderman ,” he was responsible for education, culture, and sports. He also contributed to various important projects that have meant a great deal to Kerkrade, including the establishment of Het Martin Buber, Vie, and the HuB.

Through his dedication as a council member and his twelve years as Alderman , Jo Schlangen has made a significant contribution to the development of the municipality. For this reason, he is receiving the Golden Medal of Honor from Kerkrade.
