Help with psychological problems

People may be in danger of harming themselves or others because of a psychiatric condition. Sometimes mandatory mental health care is then needed.

Thanks to the Compulsory Mental Health Act (Wvggz), the municipality constitutes an additional access to compulsory Health. In addition to the access to compulsory Health for professionals in the ggz and the OM.

Mandatory mental health care is a last resort and is used only when no other solution is really possible. Of course, it is preferable to provide appropriate help and Health earlier and on a voluntary basis to residents who need it. In the municipality we cooperate with many parties for this purpose. For example, with social work, the housing associations, care organizations, volunteers and many more. This includes, for example, assistance with independent living, help with finances or dealing with addiction. However, sometimes things go wrong and then the Wvggz can offer a solution.
