Is your home ready for winter? Get free advice, a grant, and help from start to finish
Would you like to live more comfortably and energy-efficiently this winter? Then now is a good time to insulate your home. The Municipality of Kerkrade can help you with this through the Parkstad Insulation Project, in collaboration with the other Parkstad municipalities and WoonWijzerWinkel Limburg. You’ll receive free advice, personalized guidance, and assistance in finding the grant that’s right for your home.
More than 5,000 households have already taken advantage of the Parkstad Insulation Project. There may also be a grant or other assistance available for your home.
Are you eligible?
You can participate in the Parkstad Insulation Project if you meet these three Requirements :
- The WOZ value of your home (as of 2022) is below the average WOZ value in Kerkrade: €247,000. You can look up the WOZ value of your home on the website of the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration ( Rijksoverheid ) at.
- Your home was built before 1992.
- There are at least two areas of your home where insulation can be improved, such as the roof, the floor, the exterior walls, or the windows.

Every home and every resident is different. That is why the Parkstad Insulation Project offers various forms of support.
A completely hassle-free experience
Would you like personalized guidance? If so, WoonWijzerWinkel Limburg will assist you from start to finish. You’ll receive advice on the best insulation measures, help in choosing a contractor, and support with your grant application. Are you insulating one part of your home? Then you can receive up to €1,300 in grants. Are you insulating two parts of your home? Then up to €2,300 is available. You can find more information at isolatieprojectparkstad.nl
Want to get started on your own? Don't forget about the grant
Would you rather install the insulation yourself? If so, you can take advantage of the Do-It-Yourself subsidy for insulation materials. This way, you stay in control and benefit from financial support. With the Do-It-Yourself subsidy, you can receive up to €1,300. Did you receive an energy allowance in 2023?
In that case, you may be eligible for additional assistance with insulating your home. Depending on your situation, you can receive up to €10,000 in subsidies for a maximum of two insulation projects. For more information, visit: isolatieprojectparkstad.nl/parkstad-plus
Homeowners' Association? Working Together Toward Sustainability Starts with a Good Conversation
Homeowners’ Associations (VvEs) can also participate in the Parkstad Insulation Project. VvE boards and property managers receive support in exploring insulation measures, making decisions within the VvE, and launching a sustainability initiative for the apartment complex. A maximum subsidy of €1,300 per apartment is available for insulating an apartment complex.
