Insulation Project Park City

Making your owner-occupied home more sustainable with financial support from the municipality? This is possible with Insulation Project Parkstad. 

Do you own a home in the municipality of Kerkrade and was the WOZ value of your home less than €247,000 on January 1, 2022? Then you may be eligible for the Parkstad Insulation Project, a joint initiative of the seven Parkstad municipalities. The scheme offers practical and financial assistance to make your home more comfortable, energy efficient, and sustainable.

Compensation up to a maximum of €2300

The municipality will reimburse up to €2,300 of the costs and provide a personal coach to guide you through the entire process. The coach will help you with both advice and implementation. The subsidy may be used to insulate the roof, facade, floor, or windows, possibly in combination with a ventilation system. If you do not know the WOZ value of your home on January 1, 2022, you can look it up via the WOZ value desk.

Do-it-yourself subsidy

Are you handy and would you prefer to insulate your home yourself? In that case, you can also receive a subsidy from the municipality. In Kerkrade, you can receive up to €1,300 in DIY subsidies.

Combining with other grants is possible 

You may combine the municipal subsidy from the Insulation Project Parkstad with other subsidies from the Rijksoverheid, such as the ISDE. This can make the total compensation for the insulation measures even higher. The personal coach will help you apply for this. 

When can you participate?

You can participate in the Parkstad Insulation Project if:

  • The WOZ value of your home is less than €247,000 (reference date January 1, 2022);
  • Your home was built before 1992;
  • Your home has at least two structural elements that can be improved or renovated.
    These include: glass, window frames, flooring, roof, or walls.
    This often applies to homes with energy labels D, E, F, or G. You can also apply without a registered energy label.

What happens after registration?

After registering, an Energy Saving Coach will visit your home free of charge. You will receive a personalized Energy Saving Plan at no cost. This plan includes:

  • Which insulation measures are suitable for your home;
  • Approximate cost of the measures;
  • How much subsidy you can count on;
  • How much you can save on your energy bill.

Then you decide for yourself whether you want to get started.
