KOELmagazine is releasing its third issue, packed with new stories

This is an old post.

This magazine, created by and for Kerkrade, once again features a mix of inspiring stories, local initiatives, and current developments in the municipality.

This issue is dedicated to the World Music Competition (WMC). This international event brings together music, culture, and people, making it a wonderful theme for the stories in this issue.

You’ll also read about the introduction of the new city administration and the new city council, among other things. Meet the people who will be working on behalf of Kerkrade in the coming years. Discover the WIJKbus: a mobile outreach center that neighborhood coordinators use to visit the neighborhoods. You’ll also find a packed events calendar featuring activities and events for the coming months.

This third edition highlights what’s happening in the city and how residents are working to support one another and their community. One remarkable story is that of 9-year-old Noah, who shows that with a good idea and perseverance, you can achieve a lot: through a letter and a petition, he helped secure a new soccer field in Vlinderheide Park.

Finally, you have a chance to win a unique experience. Enter the giveaway for an exclusive backstage tour at the WMC.

Starting June 26, the third issue of KOELmagazine will be delivered to all households in Kerkrade by various Kerkrade-based organizations, which are working hard to distribute the magazine throughout the city. Due to the extremely hot summer temperatures, delivery may take a little longer in some areas.

Once delivery is complete, pickup locations will be set up in the neighborhoods for anyone who missed the magazine or did not receive it. You can find the most up-to-date information about this on our channels.

Keep a close eye on your mailbox and let yourself be inspired by everything our city has to offer!
