The Limburg 2026 Purchasing Patterns Study Kicks Off in September!
Limburg Residents Surveyed About Their Purchasing Habits
The municipality of Kerkrade, together with the Province of Limburg and Limburg businesses, is committed to creating attractive city centers, village centers, and a diverse range of retail and dining options. To make the right decisions in this regard, the Limburg 2026 Shopping Patterns Study will begin in mid-September. The study will identify where and how residents and visitors do their grocery shopping, shop for other goods, visit restaurants and bars, and how they rate various shopping areas.
All municipalities in Limburg are participating in the survey. Residents of neighboring areas in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium are also being asked about their purchasing behavior. The survey is being conducted by the firms Ipsos I&O and Movares.
The results help our municipality, our business owners, and the province to further strengthen our shopping districts and amenities. The findings also show how shopping behavior in the province has evolved compared to previous years. The most recent shopping flow survey in Limburg was conducted in 2019.
