Traveling exhibition 'WE... break the cycle of violence' on view now
From November 4 to 25, the impressive outdoor exhibition WE...break the circle of violence will be on display in Kerkrade on Kapellaan, near the Discovery Museum and Kerkrade Centrum train station.
Every year in the Netherlands, 200,000 adults and 119,000 children are victims of domestic violence or child abuse. Open mind, together with the program Violence Belongs Nowhere Home and regional partners, wants to make this issue visible and discussable. Because violence does not stop by itself. WE must act together.

The exhibition consists of powerful portraits and personal stories of people who have broken the cycle of violence. They show that change is possible, and that support from the environment plays a crucial role.
With this project we want to:
- raise awareness,
- damage limitation,
- and break the transmission of violence from generation to generation.
The exhibition travels throughout the Netherlands, each time forming the starting point for local conversations, initiatives and collaborations.
Visit the exhibition in Kerkrade on Kapellaan. Be touched, learn from the stories, and discover how you too can make a difference.
