Many people stay home if they don’t know where to go. With the HogeNood app, residents and visitors can quickly find an accessible restroom nearby.
That’s why we’re asking business owners to open their restrooms to the public. SME Accessible Route
As part of the SME Accessibility Route initiative, we have already assessed more than 200 entrances to shops, restaurants, and public spaces. More and more business owners are joining the program. As a participant, you’ll receive a free accessibility assessment and a clear advisory report. Some business owners have even received a bronze, silver, or gold certification. You’ll also be listed in the Ongehinderd app, so residents and visitors can immediately see that your location is accessible. Due to high demand, the SME Accessibility Route is now full.
The HogeNood app
The HogeNood app is also gaining traction in Kerkrade. Thanks to business owners who make their restrooms available, residents and visitors can quickly find an accessible restroom. The app clearly indicates whether a restroom is wheelchair-accessible, if there is a baby changing station, and whether there is a fee. This is important to many people. By participating, you help them and increase your business’s visibility.
