Closing Session: "Talk About Tomorrow Today"
How can you continue to live independently at home for as long as possible? And what role can family, friends, neighbors, and others play in this?
After three successful meetings in Kerkrade-West, we’re wrapping up the series in this neighborhood. The final “Talk About Tomorrow Today – Seniors Take the Lead” meeting will focus on mutual support. This session will focus on social networks and informal Health . We’ll explore how people in your community can help you continue living independently at home for longer, and what support is available when informal caregivers need temporary relief. It’s precisely by talking about these things together that things become clearer—for yourself, your children, and the people around you.
During this afternoon session, we’ll engage in a discussion together, addressing questions such as:
- Who is part of my social network?
- What kind of support can family, friends, neighbors, or acquaintances provide?
- What is informal Health , and what role does it play in helping people live independently at home for longer?
- What is respite care, and when can it be used?
The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. You’re welcome to listen, share, or just be there. It’s all good.
During this afternoon session, speakers will provide explanations and information. We’ll also take an active approach to making the social network more in Map . This will give you greater insight into the people around you and the support that’s available, both now and in the future.
Everyone is welcome, and coffee, tea, and fruit cake will be waiting for you.
