Make your home more sustainable with free help from the municipality

Last Saturday, the municipality of Kerkrade went into the neighborhood with the campaign "Make your home sustainable." At the Sjpringbron, a team was ready to help residents make their homes more energy efficient. With a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and a doughnut or pastry, they struck up conversations with local residents.

Residents were offered free advice and assistance on how to save energy and water.
For example, a free handyman team is available to all residents of Kerkrade to bring LED light bulbs, draft strips, window film, and more to your home and install them for you.

In addition, homeowners can take advantage of a free personalized savings plan, tailored by an expert. The municipality also helps residents apply for municipal and national subsidies. In some situations, additional assistance is available, for example for people on lower incomes.

Alderman van Drunen (Sustainability) was also present: "We want to help residents save money easily. With free help, practical support, and advice at home, we ensure that people immediately notice a difference in their homes and on their energy bills. This is how we work together on 't Kirchroa va Mörje."

Did you miss the event? On Wednesday, February 11, the team will return to the Sjpringbron. Everyone is welcome to come by.
