Traffic Measures on Wiebachstraat

This is an old post.

Starting Friday, April 24, 2026, Wiebachstraat will become a one-way street. This applies from the intersection of Wiebachstraat and Wiebachstraat up to and including the junction with the Roda JC Ring. Signs on-site will indicate which route to follow.

Traffic controllers are stationed at the Locht–Wiebachstraat intersection and the Wiebachstraat–Beitel intersection. They ensure that traffic continues to flow smoothly and that the intersections do not become blocked. The traffic lights on Beitel have been adjusted to allow traffic coming from Kerkrade to proceed as smoothly as possible.

To prevent additional traffic congestion on the Roda JC Ring, it has been decided to revise the schedule for the renovation of Parking Lot P5. The phase involving the reconstruction of the access road from the Euregioweg will be carried out simultaneously with the work being done by the Municipality of Heerlen on the Euregioweg. The simultaneous construction of the access road is also being done at the request of the businesses on the Roda J.C. Ring.

These traffic measures will remain in effect until the construction work on Euregioweg is completed. For more information about the construction work on Euregioweg, please visit the Bouw-app at , which the City of Heerlen is using for this purpose.
