Kerkrade went to the polls
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, elections were held for the members of the Kerkrade City Council. These council members make decisions that are important for the city. Here you will find all the information about these elections, including the (preliminary) results.
On Wednesday, March 18, 43.7% of Kerkrade’s residents went to the polls for the municipal elections. They cast their votes at polling stations throughout the city.
The seat distribution based on the preliminary results of the 2026 municipal elections in Kerkrade is as follows:
- Citizens' Interests: 14 seats
- OnsKerkrade: 4 seats
- GroenLinks-PvdA: 2 seats
- Local Alternative: 2 seats
- SP: 1 seat
- Kerkrade Senior Citizens' Party: 4 seats
- CDA: 1 seat
- VVD Kirchroa: 1 seat
On March 26 , the election results will be officially certified, and we will publish the final results of the 2026 municipal elections.
