Elections, statement of support for municipal elections
What is it?
A political party that wants to participate in municipal elections sometimes needs declarations of support. With a declaration of support, you enable the participation of a political party.
A statement of support is required for a party that:
- competing in elections for the first time
- failed to win a seat in the previous election
- did not register a party name (blank list)
How does it work?
You may make a statement of support if:
- you may vote in municipal elections
- the party is participating in the elections in your municipality
You can make up to 1 statement of support.
You can make up to 1 statement of support.

What to do.
This is how you make the statement of support:
- Go to council.
- You bring:
- a valid ID
- the completed, unsigned form
- You sign the form in front of the official.
