Renewal of Heiveldstraat, Begoniastraat and Kapelweg

The municipality is planning to renew Heiveld Street, Begonia Street and Chapel Road. We are going to work on the streets because the road surface is old. Also, the road layout could be a lot better. This way we promote traffic safety.

The municipality has created a design. This shows what Heiveldstraat, Begoniastraat and Kapelweg will look like after the work is completed. You can view this design on the specially set up project website

In the design, you can see that we want to make the roadway narrower. Traffic will still have plenty of room on the new roadway. We will use the space freed up to improve the parking spaces and sidewalks. Where possible, we will expand and enhance green spaces. This new layout may require light poles to be relocated.

If everything goes as planned, the work will last from the fourth quarter of 2025 to quarter 2 of 2026. We will carry out the work in several sections.
