Overview of allotments in Kerkrade

You can rent an allotment from the municipality. The land remains the municipality's, but you may use it. You may only use the allotment for growing vegetables, fruits and plants.

The municipal allotments are located near the following streets:

• Frings Avenue
• Maria Goretti Street 
• Toupsberg Street

Municipal allotment rental rates

• The rent for a garden with an area of 1 to 49^{m2 is} € 13.00 per year
• The rent for a garden with an area of 50 to 99^m2 is € 26.00 per year
• The rent of a garden with an area of 100 to 149^{m2 is} € 40.00 per year 
• The rent for a garden with an area of 150 to 199^{m2 is} € 53.00 per year
• From 200 m2 the rent is €0.264 per^m2 per year

Borg

Before the lease takes effect, you must pay a deposit. 

• The deposit for an allotment up to 99^m2 is € 100.00
• The deposit for an allotment of 100^m2 and larger is € 200.00

This deposit will be returned to you when you return the garden clean and empty at the end of the rental period. 

Renting an allotment from the municipality

Voluntary garden rental from the municipality

Once you have submitted the form, one of our staff members will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your options. Our colleague will then let you know if a garden is available at the chosen location. 

Terminate your allotment rental

Do you want to terminate the rent of your municipal allotment garden? Then a notice period of one month applies. This means that you must give 1 month's notice to terminate your rent. This is a calendar month. For example, if you want to terminate the rent as of September 15, you must let us know no later than August 15.

You can use the digital form to cancel your allotment.
