Do you have any questions, concerns, or ideas about safety, quality of life, nuisances, or other issues in your neighborhood? Then come visit the WIJKbus. The WIJKbus is a mobile information center that the municipality’s neighborhood coordinators use to visit neighborhoods. 

Our neighborhood coordinators are ready to assist you on the WIJKbus. They’ll listen to your concerns and ensure that your question or report is forwarded to the appropriate department within the municipality. You’ll always receive feedback on how your request is being handled.

Every month, the bus stops at various locations in Kerkrade. This makes it easier for residents to connect with the municipality and work together to create a safe, livable, and pleasant living environment.

You can visit the WIJKbus without an appointment to ask questions, report issues, share ideas, or voice concerns. 

For example:

• Safety and Enforcement 
• Quality of Life in the Neighborhood
• Nuisance in the neighborhood 
• Prevention and Areas for Improvement 
• Other issues affecting your community

Suggestions for making your neighborhood more pleasant or safer are also very welcome.

Procedure

The neighborhood coordinators are the first point of contact. They receive reports and questions and ensure they are forwarded to the appropriate department within the municipality. When necessary, they keep residents informed of the progress and resolution of these matters.
