- Drink 1.5 to 2 liters of water in a day and take a bottle of water with you when you are on the road
- Health for a cap, hat, parasol or if necessary a light-colored umbrella
- Cover your car's windshield with a screen or towel
- Keep windows and curtains closed when the sun is shining. Open them in the evening and morning when it is cooler outside than inside
- Sit in the shade during the hottest afternoon hours
- Check via the Neighborhood App to see if anyone needs help
- Go to a cool place to recover for a while
- Health for cooling, for example, put a damp cloth on your neck or take a cool (foot) bath or shower
- Take it easy, avoid exertion especially in the afternoon
- Know what to do if the heat gets too much for you
