Bite incident: what if a dog has bitten?
Have you or your pet been bitten by a dog? Please report it to the police or the enforcement control room. The police will then pass this on to the municipality.
The municipality collects data on the biting incident and assesses how serious the biting incident is.
Minor biting incident
A minor biting incident does not involve serious injuries or consequences. In this case, the measures for nuisance behavior apply (link to page policy rule).
Heavy biting incident
In a severe biting incident, a dog has injured a person or animal so badly that they require medical treatment or die as a direct result of the injury. In this case, the dangerous behavior measures apply (link to page policy rule).
