Soil Information
It is possible to request soil information from the municipality. This is of particular interest to soil consulting firms. Prior to a soil investigation by a soil consulting firm, a historical survey is conducted. The municipality itself can carry out a historical survey and provide a report on it. The latter is preferable if the municipality has to assess the soil survey report at a later stage.
Brokers and appraisers can request information from the municipality about soil testing, underground tanks and businesses requiring environmental permits on a site. All such information can be requested in writing from the municipality. Fees are charged for this.
