Glück auf Residence
On Schovetweg, a new small-scale residential area Glück auf Residentie will soon be built. The homes will be built next to the apartment complex now known in the area as Villa Pierre. Previously, this was the headquarters of Laura and Vereeniging, the operator of the two former coal mines Laura and Julia.
At the location where the Glück auf Residence will be built, there used to be an office building. This building was demolished about 20 years ago. Since then, the piece of land on Schovetweg has been lying fallow.
In a suburban residential area, on an intimate green residential courtyard, 10 completely single-floor life-proof bungalows will soon be built. This means that the homes are suitable for all stages of life of the future residents. People can continue to live at home for longer, even when circumstances change, such as due to old age or a disability.
Bungalows
The building plan features contemporary fresh architecture, is small-scale in design and consists of three residential blocks with two, four and four more homes, respectively.
These new homes have a practical layout. Thus, the entire living program is located on the first floor, there is a spacious living room with open kitchen, there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, toilet and both indoor and external storage. The terrace and garden are accessible from the living area.
These bungalows are built in accordance with today's strict sustainability requirements and are therefore very comfortable and extremely energy efficient.
