The successful Energy and Climate Fund Kerkrade has helped over 200 participants become more sustainable, now the loan jar is empty.

Over the past 5 months, over 200 participants have applied for a loan through the fund to make their home or building more sustainable. Because of all the applications, the loan pot of over 3 million euros is now empty. This means that it is no longer possible to apply for a loan from the Fund.

However, there are other schemes you can take advantage of if you want to make your home more sustainable. 

We were able to help over 70 additional participants thanks to an addition to the budget

In December 2022, the Fund's counter stood at 130 applications. The bottom of the loan pot of 2 million euros was already in sight. The City Council then decided to supplement the budget with over an additional 1 million euros This money was still in the loan pot of the Solar Panel Project Parkstad. With this additional budget, we were able to help more than 70 additional participants make their homes or buildings more sustainable. Most people used the money for solar panels, air conditioning and insulation, such as HR++ glass.
