With temperatures continuing to rise, it’s important to seek out a cool spot every now and then. That’s why Kerkrade offers several cool spots where residents can escape the heat for a while. There are plenty of options, both indoors and outdoors, scattered throughout the city.

Cooling down indoors

If you prefer to stay cool indoors on hot days, you’re welcome to visit our community centers:

Cooling off outdoors in nature

There are also ways to beat the heat outdoors. The larger parks and nature areas in Kerkrade offer shade, greenery, and—especially early in the morning—cooler temperatures:
