Environment Counter

From Jan. 1, 2024, when the Omgevingswet takes effect, there will be a new Environment Desk.

In the Environment Counter you will find digital information about the physical environment. Here you can check whether you are allowed to perform your activities under the Omgevingswet. And whether you need a permit, a notification or information to do so.

You can also view the rules that apply at a particular location. And check what measures you must comply with when carrying out your work. In My Environment Desk you can find all your applications and notifications.

To the Environment Counter

The Environment Counter replaces the following counters

  • Omgevingsloket online (OLO).
  • Activities Decree Internet Module (AIM).
  • Spatialplans.com
  • Soil Quality Hotline.

The revamped Environment Counter consists of 5 components:

  • Permit check: in the Environment Counter you can see if a permit or notification is required for your (construction) project.
  • Application or notification: you can start a permit application or submit a notification.
  • Rules on the Map: you can see on a Map which national and local rules apply in Kerkrade.
  • Participation: you can indicate what you did in terms of participation and what the result was.
  • My Environment Counter: the Environment Counter provides an overview of the applications and notifications you have made.

The Environment Counter is constantly being improved. This involves paying attention to accessibility, comprehensibility and user-friendliness.

Environment Desk

The omgevingswet is new for everyone and we can well imagine that there are many questions. that is why we offer the possibility to make an appointment for the Environment Desk through our KCC. 

This desk will be open every Thursday from 09:00-12:00 and 16:00-18:00 from the beginning of January.

Residents and entrepreneurs can, after making an appointment, come here with questions about the Omgevingswet and the new Omgevingsloket (Digital System Omgevingswet). You can think of help with completing the Omgevingsloket or questions about Omgevingsvergunningsvrij bouwen, but also questions about submitting a request in principle as part of the preliminary consultation.
