Support statements

It is required if a party is running for the first time or did not win seats in the previous election. You can make a statement of support at City Hall from Jan. 3 through Jan. 31, 2022. Make an appointment or walk in.

What you need to know

With a statement of support, you support a party's participation in elections.

A party needs statements of support in the following cases:

• The party is participating in the elections for the first time.
• The party did not win any seats in the previous elections.
• A party competes with a blank list (with no designation).

Requirements

• You are registered as a voter within the municipality.
• You may sign a maximum of 1 statement of support.
• A statement of support cannot be withdrawn.

Bring

• Passport, identity card or driver's license.
• Completed statement of support. You will receive this from the party you wish to support
