Flexiforum development center

The Flexiforum Development Center was set up by the municipality and officially opened on Sept. 5, 2024.

From the center, we help people with Social assistance benefit benefits find work, under the motto "Your success, our goal. The center provides intensive counseling and training to prepare them for the labor market. Here the emphasis is not only on learning vocational skills, but also on developing healthy living habits.

The Flexiforum Development Center offers apprenticeships in Health, Green and Retail. These work apprenticeships are made possible through collaboration with local partners such as the Elisabeth Stift, the municipality's urban management department and the Swap Shop.

The Development Center was started because the job market is changing. The old way of helping people find work no longer fit with what people need. People looking for work and employers increasingly need customized help and good guidance.

With this center, we give people the opportunity to develop their talents and find a place in the labor market. We not only help people find work, but also ensure that everyone can participate in society. The Flexiforum Development Center is an important step towards a future in which everyone, regardless of background or situation, has a chance at work.

An important part of the program is the so-called Work First approach. This means that candidates actively participate from day one. Through tailored coaching, training and practical experience, candidates are guided to a suitable workplace. 

The existing Employment Participation Program, already successfully coordinated from the Flexiforum, remains an important part of this new approach. Here, various activities, such as speed dates with employers, workshops and company visits, are organized to make the labor market more accessible.

The Flexiforum Development Center is an important step toward a future in which everyone, regardless of background or situation, has a chance in the labor market.
