Public meeting of the municipal electoral committee

The municipal electoral committee will hold a session on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Kerkrade City Office, Markt , 6461 CE Kerkrade. 

The hearing will begin at 10:00 a.m. and is open to the public.

Please note: the municipal polling station plays a role in counting and recounting votes; you cannot cast your vote here.

Tasks of municipal polling station

During this public session on the day after the vote, the municipal electoral committee checks the reports from the polling stations. The polling stations counted the votes on Wednesday, March 18, and drew up reports. If there is a report of an unexplained discrepancy in the report, or if the municipal electoral committee suspects that other errors have been made, the municipal electoral committee will recount all or part of the votes cast at that polling station. The municipal polling station adds up the results from all polling stations and determines the number of votes per list and per candidate for the entire municipality. After the municipal polling station has completed its work, it draws up a report containing the results for the municipality.

Recount

It may happen that the municipal electoral committee has to recount some of the votes in the week after the election.
The time and place of the additional session will then be announced as soon as possible on this website.
