Building a vibrant city center together

With the City Center Action Plan, we will be working in the coming years to create a future-proof city center: a place where people enjoy living, shopping, and meeting each other. That is why we are investing in the transformation of shops and vacant properties in approach streets, among other things, and building new homes in and around the city center area.

Our goal is to make the center more compact and lively. We are doing this by, among other things, building more homes in the center area. We are focusing on first-time buyers, families, and especially seniors who want to live close to all amenities. This will create more dynamism, social cohesion, and a better balance between living, working, and amenities.

We are currently working on the following housing projects in the city center:

• Hof van Rode (Main Street)
• New construction area D’r Pool (Kapellaan-Engerweg)
• Living above shops – various locations
